REQUEST: Google Apps 200+ users with unlimited storage
Web app like imgur, but selfhosted.
Hello.
I am looking for something like imgur that I can self host on my server.
I have tried some of these apps, but I can not find something similar to imgur to upload the image and just receive the address to put the image in forums, f.e.
Yes, I could do it with Coppermine, but it's to huge and I don't need all these options.
Thanks!!
The AIO RIR Resource Thread... (IPv4 + IPv6 + ASN)
Hi Everybody,
There's been a few of these as of late, but.. lets have a shot like this for a change..
Here are a few businesses that rent out & sell resources.. Below are listed in the way of RIR (ie, ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC) and including current-ish prices for the lowest forms (ie, /24 - /48 - ASN)
ARIN - North America IPv4 Leasing HostUS (r) - $90 per /24 GarrisonHost - $70 (+$70 Setup) per /24 IPv4Less - $128 per /24 IP6 (@William) - Contact about stock & prices. IPv6 Leasing HostUS (r) - $35 per /48 IP6 (@William) - Contact about stock & prices. ASN Registration --NONE--

for AFRINIC & LACNIC.. one stop shop.. @William!
Hopefully our fearless leader @Jarland , will help keep this updated if needed, since editing timeout applies.
Don't hesitate to add more providers that do the same to this list, and hopefully it helps someone out :-)

Searching a /24 subnet for lease
I'm currently working on an anycast project for my private dns servers. That's why i'm searching for a /24 ipv4 subnet to lease. The price shouldn't be higher than $100 per month. Does anyone knows a good provider?
I spent $500+ to buy a domain name which will be deleted after 6 days
I spent $500+ to buy a domain name( ****.net ) today, which has 4 characters, and find that it has expired and will be deleted after 6 days, am I crazy? If I choose not to buy it, is it possible for me to register it with $10+ after one week?
Cheap Windows 2012 R2 VPS server for testing?
Hi, does anybody know of a cheap Windows 2012 R2 VPS server for testing? I was looking into Vultr because you can pay by the hour. The problem is, it takes me two days to setup my environment and Vultr still charges you for "stopped" instances. The only way Vultr stops charging you is if you "destroy" your instance, which is not feasible because I would have to spend another two days setting up my environment every time I want to do a test.
I am looking for a 2GB of RAM, Windows 2012 R2 VPS.
I see if you pay Softsys for the full 2 years, you can get 2 GB of RAM at $10 a month (you have to pay 2 years so it's $240 in total). I don't mind prepaying for 2 years if that's what it takes. Paying hourly would be the best but not if I have to spend 2 days setting up my server again.
Are there other options out there?

Security Flaw In OVH/Kimsufi/SoYouStart Proxmox Installations
Hello,
On May 2, 2017 at 16:00 CEST, a security flaw was detected in our Proxmox 4 installations.
In order to use Proxmox in a ‘cluster’ configuration (Proxmox VE Cluster), a pair of SSH keys is automatically generated to facilitate communication between the different physical nodes of the cluster.
Our system that generates the distribution (March 16, 2017 at 12:26 CEST) did not correctly those pair of keys, making possible the connection between two client machines.
Consequently, we deactivated Proxmox 4 installations on May 2, 2017 at 16:02 CEST. Proxmox 4 installations made between March 16, 2017 (12:26 CEST) and May 2, 2017 (16:02 CEST) are affected. All installations made prior to and after these dates are secure.
Please find below the chronology of our actions: - Deactivation of the vulnerable build (2017-05-02 16:02 CEST). - Creation of a new secure build (2017-05-02 17:51 CEST). - Put in production the new secure build (2017-05-02 17:57 CEST).
In order to reduce the attack surface and as a measure of precaution, we used the private key available in the image to remove the public key which corresponds to the authorize keys file found in ‘/etc/pve/priv’. The traditional "/root/.ssh/authorized_keys" file being a symbolic link to the latter.
We are not able to intervene on the Proxmox configurations configured in cluster mode, without disrupting service. We have logged in your manager our intervention under the reference: 'Remote Intervention OVH for correction Proxmox installation'.
The corrective action taken is not a permanent solution because in order to fully secure your configuration, the new pair of keys must be generated by you. If you restart the ‘pve-cluster’ service (also in case of server reboot), the previous SSH key will be redeployed, making the server vulnerable again.
It is strongly advised that you conduct a complementary analysis of your system.
In order to help you, the following script will secure your infrastructure: - wget ftp://ftp.ovh.net/made-in-ovh/dedie/proxmox4-fixssh.sh - chmod +x proxmox4-fixssh.sh - ./proxmox4-fixssh.sh
Here is the list of your server(s) that are impacted by this issue:
We apologies for any inconvenience. We have taken all measures necessary to prevent a reoccurrence of this issue.

Similar to SpeedyKVM V-Dedicated but in Europe?
Hi all,
Does anyone know a company with European Datacenters that offer similar servers to SpeedyKVM V-DEDICATED plans (speedykvm.com)?
Thanks
Mail Relay service that works with cPanel
Hello,
So I am looking for a mail relay service/site/option that can be used with cPanel to send most emails to the user. I am not sending any spam or too many emails. The site has about 10K users and gets few signup everyday. (lets say 400 a day).
I want to use SMTP relay service to mask the server IP and also because the server provider recommended to use external relay. (DDOS protected server with cloudflare)
I am currently using sendgrid.com but out of 2000 emails, only 300 was delivered. Even my own test email to @gmail are not delivered. (while it says email sent)
I tried MailGun but their limits are insane. 100emails a day and they block your account randomly. Worst experience ever.
On average, I will probably be sending 500 emails a day. (that's rough number of users activity) Needed to send bulk emails due to password reset for all users. (so that's like one time 10K emails).
Any recommendations ? Any solution ??
Thanks Umair
Europe 1G vps
Hello, I'm searching an EU KVM or VMWare vps (I'd like to host some LXC vps), with 1gb ram, at least access to 2 cores and a bunch of IPv6. The target use is, mainly, for webhosting.
Budget: around 3$/month.
Some ideas?

WHMCS vs Blesta - Why did you choose one over the other
Market research - I am trying to understand why you chose WHMCS or Blesta (not worried about the other billing systems out there).
Delimiter offers both Blesta and WHMCS but we see substantially more customers using WHMCS than Blesta even though we are offering Blesta for free.
Given the comments recently in the WHMCS topic about rate increases and people wanting to jump ship to Blesta, the number of WHMCS sales has remained the same for us; but the uptake of Blesta has not increased.

USA - cheap or free cellphone provider
Hi, I am usually at home and use Google voice to talk with my clients. However it turns out I will be on road next few weeks on and off.
I looked into freedom pop. It works on VoIP so of I don't get good coverage, it will be a problem...
I don't expect to use more than 200 minutes each month... Data is a plus... Not mandatory.. A handful of texts...
I have a couple of unlocked phones.. So any carrier is OK... Any thoughts on a service which is near free?
Thanks
Need Help with Aruba Cloud Panel
I just bought 1 Eur Aruba Cloud VPS, Very Cheap and Very Good Performance.
I want to extend my vps, by a few months. So I Top Up 5 eur, and that's it. I have no idea How to assign that credit to my vps. Does it auto deduct or something ?
2nd Question, I see aruba cloud using vmware. Which one it has much more similarity, openvz or kvm ?
3rd Question, performance wise. Anyone know cheaper but better provider out there ? Or Arubacloud currently is the only one who can give 1GB RAM FOR 1 eur / month.
4th Question, it tooks too long for the control panel to turn off, and to boot the system. Is this some kind of vmware weakness ? because I never had this issue with openvz
Thanks.
Providers: It's time to fire your support agents. OVH Chatbot is OpenSource now.
Make way for the robots! ( @WSS ) Being a hosting provider has never been easier than it is now.
Dedi Replacment: Should I stay or Should I go?
Updated: Now with reasonable network requirements.
Shoutout to The Clash for that line. :) Anyway...
I'm thinking about to dropping a dedi since I'm tired of the lack of support I've been getting. I understand people are busy, but it's 4 days short of a month from when I asked for a remote console to reinstall the OS.
Here's the current dedi:
- Quad Xeon
- 12GB RAM
- 3x 250GB SSDs
- 1Gbps uplink
- 100TB transfer
- $40/month
The three SSDs were a nice surprise, but it's main purpose was to be a backup/storage server with two large mirrored drives.
Here's the ideal dedi or hybrid:
- 4-8 thread CPU (Opteron or Xeon doesn't matter.)
- 16GB ECC RAM
- 2x 1TB+ disks (Software mirror is fine, and that's probably easier to deal with.)
- 1Gbps uplink 100Mbps-1Gbps uplink
- 100TB transfer 4-20TB transfer
- 1x+ IPv4
- 1x+ IPv6
- Console Access
- ~$40/month (Let me know if this is crazy.)
- Preferably close to Tulsa or at least in the western US.
Or should I just go with Tarsnap for my backup needs and find a 500GB+ storage KVM VPS for things like Gitea, Syncthing, and personal file hosting?
Flatland_Spider
PS: I also have three small KVM VPSs with them, and if anyone can provide some KVM VPSs, I'll drop them too:
- 1GB RAM
- 512MB Swap
- 40GB Disk
- 2x CPU
- 100Mbps port
- 500Gbps Transfer
- 1x IPv4
- Console Access
- KVM
- $1.99/month
Those are pretty ideal little VMs, but I could drop down to something in the following since they are just for testing/development:
- 0.5-1GB RAM
- 256-512MB Swap
- 20-40GB Disk
- 1-2x CPU
- 10-1000+Mbps port
- 250-500+Gbps Transfer
- 1x IPv4
- 1x+ IPv6
- Console Access
- KVM
- $1-5/month
I'm trying to get everything on IPv6, so it's a hard requirement.
Looking for Hourly VPS
Hello, I'm looking for a hourly VPS that I can use. I'll only be using it on certain dates for a specific amount of time.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or offer something, it'd be much appreciated.
Windows 2012 or above
Specs: 2gb+ Ram 6cpu+ 1gb port speeds
Location: Anywhere in California or near (LA preferably).
Would like to connect to server via Microsoft Remote Desktop (Mac).
Thanks.
What's the Softlayer' bandwith made of?
Of fairies and unicorns?
I can understand it being more expensive than the average, but $2.000???
